Finance Service Desk Analyst

About the Role

RSM is looking for a Finance Service Desk Analyst to join our Finance Technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-to mid-career professional (0–3+ years of experience) with an interest in finance, accounting, and technology.

In this role, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for users across the firm, helping them navigate and troubleshoot finance applications and data. You’ll gain valuable exposure to enterprise financial systems while building foundational skills in problem-solving, communication, and client service. What You’ll Do

  • Provide first-level support for finance applications and finance-related data inquiries
  • Respond to user questions via phone, email, and ticketing systems in a timely and professional manner
  • Troubleshoot issues, document resolutions, and ensure accurate tracking in incident management systems
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams while maintaining ownership of the user experience
  • Support initiatives to improve data accuracy and data quality
  • Actively contribute to and utilize the knowledge base to enhance team efficiency and user self-service
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in a help desk, customer support, or similar environment (internships included)
  • Experience with Workday or other finance systems is a plus such as Oracle are preferred

Additional Information

  • Location flexibility: baseline expectation that employees and owners may perform work from home, an office, a client site, or other relevant business locations, with in‑person attendance required when business needs, collaboration, client service, development, or travel warrant it. Working from home frequently or primarily does not change this expectation.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $49,800 - $79,200
