Responsibilities
Cross Connects
•Coordinate and process cross-connect orders (intra- and inter-facility) to support network capacity growth
•Validate cross-connect installations against design specifications and ensure proper labeling and documentation
•Work with colocation providers and internal teams to resolve cross-connect discrepancies and installation issues
•Track cross-connect order status and escalate delays as needed
Asgardian Fallouts
•Investigate and remediate fallout tickets generated from Asgardian audits
•Perform root cause analysis on discrepancies between physical infrastructure and system-of-record databases
•Update records and coordinate with field teams to resolve cabling, patching, and connectivity inconsistencies
•Drive fallout metrics toward zero through systematic resolution workflows
Space & Power
•Support space and power planning activities for optical infrastructure deployments
•Track cabinet/rack space utilization and power capacity for optical equipment
•Coordinate with facilities and capacity teams to ensure adequate resources for planned builds
•Assist in documenting power requirements and space allocations for new deployments
FMS (Fiber Management System) Projects
•Support FMS data integrity initiatives including audits, migrations, and system updates
•Ensure accurate fiber path documentation within FMS tools
•Assist in onboarding new sites and circuits into FMS
•Collaborate with engineering teams to improve FMS workflows and data accuracy
Qualifications
Required:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
•Basic understanding of fiber optic infrastructure (single-mode, multi-mode, connectors, patch panels)
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
•Proficiency with spreadsheets and ticketing systems
•Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
•Internship or coursework in telecommunications, network engineering, or data center operations
•Familiarity with fiber management systems or network documentation tools
•Exposure to data center environments or colocation facilities
•Understanding of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
•Experience with project tracking tools

Salary Range
