You will work closely with a startup based in Berlin, whose mission is to bring high quality business intelligence to the automotive industry. The position

We are looking for a Python Lead Engineer to help us scale our team, increase our overall data quality and boost the team's performance. We expect this to be achieved through great technical decisions on a daily basis combined with insightful a leadership style.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, well-tested and scalable code;
• Define standards and best practices collaboratively;
• Architecture / planning and choice of technologies / frameworks / tools;
• Help defining company-wide processes to improve speed and quality;
• Code reviews;
• Mentor other developers;
• Help other engineers in the team to grow, both technically and as people;
• Development and maintenance of REST APIs;
• Use Python for web scraping;
• Strengthen the local and international Python ecosystem.

Your required skill set:

• Experience with:
  • Python;
  • Git;
  • Object Oriented Programming (OOP);
• Experience with planning and requirements gathering;
• Experience leading successful projects;
• Self management and organisation;
• Working proficiency in English;

Bonus:

• Experience with web scraping frameworks;
• Has worked with RabbitMQ, Elixir, SQL or No-SQL Databases;
• Experience with infrastructure tools such as Docker and Kubernetes;
• Knowledge in agile methodologies;
• Experience working with open-source projects,
