The Commercial Finance Lead will serve as a Finance expert to the Company.  This role is responsible for supporting a select business area with strategic decision-making and strategic initiatives, will be providing oversight and analytical support for key strategies and initiatives, and making recommendations that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success.  

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the finance and strategy business partner to a dedicated sales team
  • Responsible for monthly results reporting
  • Analyze business drivers and communicate findings to Finance and Sales leadership
  • Foresee key business issues and provide regular reporting, forecasting, and as-needed analyses as well as data-driven recommendations to the Company
  • Responsible for the area budget and monthly forecasting
  • Responsible for personnel planning to ensure area sales goals are met
  • Assess financial impact of business decisions as they pertain to the sales team
  • Work alongside Sales leadership and Analytics team to create and manage and evaluate the effectiveness of commission plans 
  • Coordinate with Operations, Financial Systems and Analytics teams to obtain data needed for complex analyses
  • Coordinate with the Sales and Analytics teams to develop pricing and discount recommendations to maximize profitability margins
  • Provide genuine recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, and discipline of subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
  • Bachelors in Finance or Economic preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience working in Corporate Finance or on Strategic Teams 
  • Experience in a Public company preferred
  • Experience in Technology industry preferred
  • CFA preferred
  • Working knowledge of GAAP 
  • Proficiency in building financial models
  • Proficiency in working with large data sets with Access, Excel (including modeling and VBA) and SQL
  • A high degree of analytical capability with the demonstrated ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision
  • Strong strategic skills, with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations
  • An advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes

The base pay for this position is up to $225,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
