About the Role

Type: Hourly contract

Hours: ~15–25 hrs/week (variable)

Rate: $50–70/hr depending on motion proficiency and experience

Location: Remote

We're a fast-moving growth team running paid social campaigns across 30+ higher education partners. We have a strong creative foundation: brand guidelines, Figma templates, design systems and we need someone to help us produce at scale.

This is an execution-focused role. You won't be starting from a blank canvas. You'll be working inside existing templates and systems, iterating quickly on ad creative, and ensuring every partner's ads are polished and on-brand. If you're the kind of designer who thrives on throughput, precision, and shipping (not debating brand philosophy) this is a great fit.

The role is part-time and hourly with flexible weekly volume. There's room to grow into a bigger motion and video footprint as we expand into Reels and short-form formats.

What You'll Be Doing

Ad Production

  • Take creative briefs and produce ad variations across static formats (feed, stories, Reels covers) using existing Figma templates

  • Resize, adapt, and iterate on existing ads with new copy treatments, image swaps, format adjustments

  • Hit roughly 10–20 ad variants per week

  • Adapt master ad templates for 30+ partner brands using a custom Figma plugin (auto-populates brand colors, fonts, logos based on layer naming)

  • Review and QA output, adjusting spacing and typography where partner brand rules require it

  • Make edits on specific partner variations when requested

Motion/Video (Future state - in coming months)

  • Produce simple motion treatments and animated statics for Reels and short-form ads based on creative briefs and templates

  • Adapt master ad templates for 30+ partner brands

  • Review and QA output, adjusting spacing and typography where partner brand rules require it

  • Make edits on specific partner variations when requested

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

  • Solid Figma skills not just design, but precision in layer naming, component structure, and file hygiene (automation depends on it)

  • Experience producing social media ads, ideally in a performance marketing or agency context

  • Comfortable working from a brief that isn't always perfectly specified. You ask the right questions and move

  • Fast and organized. You can manage multiple active projects without things falling through the cracks

  • An eye for detail on typography and spacing, especially when adapting layouts for different brand constraints

  • Motion-capable from day one: comfortable producing simple animated statics and short-form motion treatments for Reels and feed

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Meta ads specifically. You know what a good Reels creative looks like vs. a feed ad

  • Familiarity with design ops workflows or multi-brand templating systems

  • Comfort working across time zones with overlap into our buying team's hours
