Pay Plan Title: Coordinator

Working Title: Training & CWCN Workforce Development Coordinator

FLSA Status: Exempt

Posting Salary Range: $54,106 - $67,210

Office Location: Remote within Trillium’s catchment area of North Carolina (See requirements section for included counties)

What We’re Looking For


Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Training & CWCN Workforce Development Coordinator to join our team! The Training & CWCN Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for co-creating, planning, overseeing and monitoring training to meet the training needs of the Children with Complex Needs (CWCN) workforce development plan.


On a typical day, you might:


  • Coordinate the ongoing development of training and development programs in support of assigned areas. Develop training plans for individuals and groups utilizing best practices and identify training outcomes while evaluating their achievement.
  • Monitor all training development coordination-related activities to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Engage and collaborate with leadership to identify immediate and ongoing training and development needs and communicate training plans effectively.
  • Develop assessment tools for the training and development program, as well as individual outcomes assessment.
  • Coordinate and ensure that designated staff members receive required/mandatory trainings.

Qualifications


Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience working directly with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental and behavioral health disorders to include experience in developing training programs or educational curricula, coordinating training, or developing educational content; OR
  • Associate’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related discipline and four (4) years of experience working directly with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental and behavioral health disorders to include experience in developing training programs or educational curricula, coordinating training, or developing educational content; OR 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related discipline and two (2) years of experience working directly with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental and behavioral health disorders to include experience in developing training programs or educational curricula, coordinating training, or developing educational content; OR
  • Equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside within Trillium’s catchment area which includes North Carolina counties: Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Halifax, Hertford, Martin, Northampton, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Warren, Beaufort, Dare, Edgecombe, Greene, Hyde, Nash, Pamlico, Pitt, Tyrrell, Washington, Wilson, Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pender, Sampson, Wayne, Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Lee, Moore, New Hanover, Robeson, Scotland, Anson, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, and Richmond. 
  • Must be able to travel within catchment as required.


Preferred:

  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree in a relevant field such as Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or Organizational Development.
  • Specialized Training: Additional certifications or specialized training in areas such as developmental disabilities, mental health, or behavioral health.
  • Educational Background: A strong educational background in curriculum development, instructional design, or adult education.
  • Needs Assessment: Conducted comprehensive assessments to identify the specific skills and knowledge required for professionals working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental and behavioral health disorders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engaged with key stakeholders, including educators, healthcare providers, families, and advocacy groups, to ensure the workforce development plan aligned with the needs of the community and the children served.
  • Program Implementation: Oversaw the implementation of training programs, ensuring they were accessible, inclusive, and tailored to the diverse needs of the workforce.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Established metrics and evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of the training programs and made data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Resource Allocation: Identified and allocated resources, including funding, materials, and personnel, to support the successful execution of a workforce development plan.
  • Continuous Improvement: Fostered a culture of continuous learning and improvement by incorporating feedback from participants and staying informed about the latest research and best practices in the field.
  • Advocacy and Awareness: Advocated for the importance of specialized training for professionals working with children with complex needs and raised awareness about the challenges and opportunities in this field.
  • Professional Development: Provided ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure that the workforce remained skilled and knowledgeable about current trends and innovations.
  • Basic Training: Some additional training or coursework in areas related to developmental disabilities, mental health, or behavioral health.
  • National Association for the Dually Diagnosed (NADD) certification.
