Job description

As Director, Trial Strategy, you'll be at the heart of that mission — translating complex protocols, patient insights, and market realities into recruitment strategies that actually work.

This is a role for someone who thinks strategically and acts decisively. Someone who can read a protocol, understand the patient behind it, and build a plan that gets them to the trial. You'll bring deep therapeutic area expertise, sharp analytical instincts, and the ability to command a room — whether that's a client bid defense or a cross-functional planning session. You won't just advise on strategy. You'll own it.

This is a fully remote and globally connected role — we welcome candidates from across Europe.

This is how you will contribute

  • Develop patient recruitment and retention strategies aligned with sponsor objectives and Trialbee's capabilities

  • Evaluate protocols, patient populations, enrollment challenges, and competitive trial landscapes to identify risks and surface opportunities

  • Assess the patient journey, standard-of-care pathways, and lived patient experience to build recruitment plans that are genuinely patient-centric and reduce barriers to participation

  • Develop enrollment projections, patient funnel assumptions, and data-backed strategic recommendations

  • Define and present multi-channel recruitment approaches — spanning EHR, digital, social media, community outreach, patient registries, and recruitment partners

  • Lead client presentations, bid defenses, and strategic discussions as a credible, confident subject matter expert

  • Collaborate with Business Development, Omnichannel Partners, Operations, Product, and Marketing to ensure strategies are operationally feasible and commercially competitive

  • Contribute to Trialbee's therapeutic area expertise, strategic methodologies, and recruitment best practices

  • Leverage AI-enabled technologies to sharpen research, analysis, and strategic planning — while owning the recommendations that come from them

Who we're looking for

  • 5–7 years of experience in patient recruitment, patient engagement, feasibility, clinical trial strategy, or a related clinical research function

  • A strong grasp of clinical development and patient recruitment methodologies, with experience building strategies across multiple therapeutic areas

  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of: Cardiometabolic, Oncology, Immunology, or Neurology/CNS — and the ability to rapidly build working knowledge in new indications

  • Experience developing enrollment projections and patient funnel assumptions, and turning them into clear, defensible recommendations

  • In-depth knowledge of GCP/ICH and applicable regulatory guidelines

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, paired with the communication and presentation skills to bring stakeholders with you

  • The confidence and credibility to lead strategic conversations with clients and internal leaders alike

  • A collaborative mindset — you know that the best strategies are built with, not handed to, the teams who deliver them

  • Comfort with AI-enabled tools and a genuine interest in how technology can elevate strategic thinking

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Public Health, or a related discipline
