Financially Focused Developer (GD - 12042025 - FTFFD)

Position: Financially Focused Developer

Number of hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: UK Timezone

Tasks required:

• Design, build, and maintain a Python/SQL-based portfolio reporting tool.

• Develop and optimize loan reporting and monitoring systems for internal and client use.

• Manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from multiple financial data sources.

• Implement robust back-end systems to support analytics and performance dashboards.

• Work closely with finance and investment teams to define and automate financial metrics and reporting requirements.

• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all systems.

• Identify process automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.

• Support system maintenance, debugging, and ongoing enhancements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software development, ideally in financial or data-driven environments.

• Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, SQLAlchemy, etc.) and SQL (query optimization, data modeling).

• Proven experience building financial or loan reporting/monitoring systems.

• Strong understanding of financial metrics, such as portfolio returns, loan performance indicators, and risk measures.

• Background in investment management, banking, or fintech is a PLUS

• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
  Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

• Knowledge of data visualization, automation, and financial data modeling.
