Job description

Purpose driven organisation supporting clients with complex disability needs requires a Rostering Manager. You will lead and coach the rostering team of four with the ultimate objective of ensuring client's need are met and Support Worker's utilisation is maximised, based on their experience and preferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the rostering team
  • Monitor and approve rosters
  • Oversee Support Worker's timesheets to avoid payroll issues
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Case Managers to gather information about new clients and their specific needs and integrate new clients into the rostering system without disruption to existing services.
  • Manage roster related adverse events 
  • Provide training and support to rostering team
  • Maintain and improve a process to ensure adequate support worker coverage considering unplanned absences and last minute changes
  • Optimise workforce utilisation and minimise overtime and broken shifts
  • Review performance of rostering team, identifying problems and offering solutions 
  • Use rostering software (Visual Care) to oversee the scheduling process, ensure data integrity
  • Some After Hours on-call is required as part of the role

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years experience in the community care sector
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a rostering role
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • High attention to detail
  • A genuinely good human!
