Career Opportunity

This is an exciting & comprehensive role for you, as well as being a skills Backend Senior Java Developer who will also have a Technical Architect element to your job for a variety of new projects. 

You’ll work closely with the CTO to plan & implement a full rebuild of the technology environment, bringing in the latest technologies & tools. You’ll influence the architecture of the rebuild, including a major Java rebuild. 

You’ll build a new API & work on a number of major integration projects. 

While the role requires a hands-on Senior Java Developer, you will also help hire a new team of developers and help run a separate offshore development team. 

Requirements

Strong experience as a Backend Senior Java Developer who has experience building enterprise web applications which have both B2B and B2C elements. 

• Strong senior level experience as Backend Java Developer.
  
• Spring Framework strong skills required.
  
• Spring Boot & Spring Web.
  
• SQL e.g Postgres or similar
  
• Javascript.
  
• Architecture.
  
• REST.
  
• Good if you know Apache Wicket(web framework), JQuery, AJAX, XML, JSON, REST, Mybatis or similar.
  
• Bonus experience if you know React, Angular, or Vue.
  

You must have strong belief in your software development ability, since this role is a key hire, your work & efforts will stand out & be visible. If you like to hide out in a large team, then this role will not be for you. On the upside you will have massive influence over technical direction, & you will receive recognition for your work.

Benefits

Excellent salary, depending on your experience €90,000 - 95,000 + benefits, above average holiday allowance, fully remote within Ireland (but you can go into the office if you want to), flexible hours and a cool work environment.
