Financial Accountant / Finanzbuchhalter


About our client:


Our client is the first choice when it comes to filling specialist and management positions in the construction, finance and real estate industries. The owner-managed company was founded in London in 2001 and now has more than 200 employees at 9 locations in Europe and the USA.


Since 2008 our client is represented with its head office in Berlin - further offices are located in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart. Our client currently employs approximately 80 people in Germany. To expand our dedicated and highly professional team we are looking for a (Junior) Financial Accountant / Finanzbuchhalter as soon as possible.



The job


 As Financial Accountant you are responsible for the documentation and analysis of financial data as well as for the preparation and presentation of relevant information.

 - Independent posting of all business transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets, bank, credit cards and travel expenses in DATEV (CDG and CTS)

 - Carrying out invoicing, dinning, and advance sales tax returns

 - Preparation and checking of payment runs

 - Master data and account maintenance

 - Participation in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB in cooperation with the external tax office and our colleagues (m/f/d) in the UK


 - Contact person for employees, customers and suppliers as well as auditors and authorities


 - Support with weekly cash flow updates


 - Participation in projects as well as provision and preparation of information for other departments




The requirements profile


 - Completed commercial training with relevant further qualifications in financial accounting or completed (technical) university studies in accounting, finance, business administration or similar.

 - Relevant professional experience in the above-mentioned areas of activity appropriate to the task preferred

 - Good knowledge of HGB

 - Very good knowledge of common MS Office applications - especially Excel - as well as accounting software, ideally DATEV

 - Very good, business fluent knowledge of the German language, both written and spoken

 - Very good, business fluent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, desirable

 - High degree of loyalty, ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility

 - Independent, committed and self-reliant way of working

 - Very good organizational and coordination skills as well as accuracy
