JobSummary: 

We areseeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Data Engineer to join ourEnterprise Data Platform (EDP) Delivery teams. This role involves developingand implementing test strategies, ensuring data accuracy Applicationperformance and integrity, and optimizing data pipelines within the GoogleCloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strongbackground in data engineering, test automation, and cloud technologies, withexpertise in SQL and general understanding of BigQuery and Dataflow. Familiaritywith the organization’s data and business process, along with proficiency usingsoftware management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, andSharePoint. 

  
Key Responsibilities: 

· Partner with Data Engineers, Analysts,and business stakeholders to define quality requirements. 

· Document test cases, data validationrules, and best practices for scalable data governance. 

· Develop and implement test cases forETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation, and ingestion processes. 

· Perform data validation, execute testcases (manual or automated) and analyze results. Regression testing ensuressufficient error validation is present. Reconcile variances and data anomaliesto ensure high-quality data. 

· Validate data transformations andingestion processes for structured and unstructured data. 

· Monitor and troubleshoot data issues,failures, and inconsistencies across the pipeline. 

· Provide support for root cause analysisand resolution of data-related defects, including the identification of codechanges. 

· Document and track defects, providingdetailed reports to development teams for resolution. 

· Participate in the design andimplementation of automated testing scripts to improve testing efficiency. 

· Conduct regression testing to ensurethat new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality. 

· Perform post-release andpost-implementation validation of software performance in productionenvironments. 

· Continuously monitor and evaluate thequality of software deliverables, providing feedback for improvementopportunities.  

· Collaborate with end users to gatherfeedback.  

 
Qualifications & Skills: 
•Must-Have: 

· ?3-5+ years of experience in dataengineering, data testing, or quality assurance. 

· ?Strong proficiency in advanced SQL, anddata validation frameworks. (test strategies).  

· Familiarity with GCP data services(BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage) and Python. 

· Familiarity with automated testingframeworks for data (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt tests). 

· Able to be hands-on with data and createtest cases for stated requirements. 

· Experience working with and integratingRetail Data. 

Requirements

Nice-to-Have: 

· Familiarity with organization’s data andbusiness process. 

· Understanding data concepts, includingstorage, retrieval and analysis. 

· An understanding of ETL/ELT processes,data modeling, and schema design.
