Business Financial Group (BFG) is a U.S.-based accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and advisory firm dedicated to helping small businesses succeed through expert financial services and exceptional client support.

As part of our long-term talent development strategy, we are launching BFG Tax School India, a structured workforce development program that prepares aspiring accounting professionals for careers supporting U.S.-based CPA firms and accounting organizations.

Unlike traditional classroom education, BFG Tax School focuses on practical learning, real-world case studies, production workflows, professional communication, and quality standards required in an actual accounting firm.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Instructor to lead this program and help develop highly skilled, production-ready professionals.


Position Summary

The Instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive training in U.S. taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, accounting software, Excel, professional communication, and workplace readiness.

The ideal candidate enjoys teaching, mentoring, and developing junior professionals while maintaining high standards of quality, discipline, and attention to detail.

Students entering the program may have accounting knowledge but little or no exposure to U.S. accounting practices. The instructor must be able to simplify complex topics, encourage learning, and prepare students for real-world work within a U.S.-based accounting environment.


Key Responsibilities

1. Teach U.S. Tax Fundamentals

Deliver structured training covering:

• Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040)

• Filing Status

• Dependents

• Standard Deduction

• Itemized Deductions

• W-2 Forms

• 1099 Forms

• 1098 Forms

• Schedule K-1

• Tax Credits

• Schedule C

• Rental Income Basics

• Introduction to:

  • Form 1120
  • Form 1120-S
  • Form 1065

• IRS Notices

• IRS Transcripts

• Tax Documentation Standards

• Tax Return Review Procedures

2. Teach Accounting & Bookkeeping

Train students on practical accounting concepts including:

• Accounting Cycle

• Business Entity Types

5. Data Entry Accuracy & Quality Control

Develop a culture of accuracy and attention to detail by training students on:

• SSN Entry

• EIN Entry

• Date Accuracy

• Banking Information

• W-2 Data Entry

• Payroll Reports

• Trial Balance Entry

• Bank Statement Entry

• Review Checklists

Help students develop communication skills required for a U.S. accounting firm.

Prepare periodic progress reports for BFG leadership.


Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline

• Strong accounting fundamentals

• Experience in U.S. tax preparation

• Experience in bookkeeping or accounting support

• Excellent English communication skills

• Strong presentation skills

• Advanced Excel knowledge

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to teach beginners

• Ability to prepare structured lesson plans

• Experience conducting classroom or online training


Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• 3+ years of U.S. accounting or tax experience

• Experience working with U.S. CPA firms

• Experience in outsourced accounting

• Xero Certification or practical experience

• QuickBooks Online experience

• Drake Tax experience

• Tax software experience

• Team Lead experience

• Training or mentoring experience

• EA Candidate

• Enrolled Agent

• CPA (or pursuing)

• Chartered Accountant (CA)

• CMA

• CA Inter

• MBA (Finance)

• Knowledge of U.S. Payroll

• Sales Tax experience

• IRS Notice handling experience

Compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, and engagement type.
