About the Role:

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, Payroll, the Lead Specialist, Payroll– APAC will be responsible for managing payroll operations across multiple APAC countries. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless employee experience.

    You will work closely with HR, Finance, and global stakeholders to drive process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and support payroll operations aligned with organizational standards.

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing across APAC regions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all components including base pay, stock compensation, taxes, and statutory benefits
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including reviewing and approving journal entries
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Employee Services teams to ensure seamless payroll experience
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies to enhance payroll accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and support payroll-related regulatory filings

  • What we are looking for

  • 8–9 years of experience in payroll, with strong exposure to APAC payroll operations
  • Strong knowledge of payroll across APAC countries such as China, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia
  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end global payroll processes
  • Experience with payroll systems, preferably ADP tools (Celergo, GlobalView, etc.)
  • Good understanding of payroll accounting, compliance, and internal controls
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Support payroll set-up and implementation for new countries/entities and ongoing system implementations (e.g., Celergo)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll-related queries and issues
