Integrations Developer

Overview

System integration is the backbone of a modern D2C retail business. As an Integration Developer at Tonal, you will design, build, and maintain the integration layer that connects our ecommerce, fulfillment, finance, and CRM systems — ensuring that data flows reliably across the enterprise and that business processes are automated end-to-end.

This is a broad and highly cross-functional role. You will work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Logistics to design integration solutions for real business problems including order-to-cash flows and fulfillment orchestration to ERP/CRM synchronization and billing automation. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to enterprise architecture decisions, shaping how our systems evolve as our business scales.

Tonal offers enterprise licenses to AI companions and unlimited token usage to enable efficiency, quality and safety of our business systems architecture and integrations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines across ERP, CRM, e-commerce, fulfillment, and financial systems while preserving data integrity and traceability.

• Lead new projects that enable Tonal’s growth, collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders in Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to translate business process requirements into reliable and scalable integration architecture.

• Build robust error handling, alerting, and reprocessing flows to ensure integration reliability and operational visibility.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, errors, and failures to maintain system health

• Keep up-to-date with the latest data integration tools and techniques, and recommend improvements to existing processes.

• Create and maintain technical documentation including integration maps, data flow diagrams, Technical Design Documents, and test cases.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in systems integration, enterprise application development, or business technology engineering, including internships or co-op terms.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON/CSV data formats, and webhook-based event-driven patterns.

• Exposure to enterprise systems — understanding of how systems like ERP, CRM, or WMS are used in a business context is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with D2C retail, e-commerce, or supply chain concepts such as order-to-cash flow, fulfillment, inventory management, or returns processing.

• Experience with SQL and databases such as PostgreSQL.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Extra Credit

• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Stripe, or Shopify in an integration context.

• Exposure to ERP financial modules — invoicing, revenue recognition, or accounts receivable.

• Warehouse automation or logistics experience is an asset

• Experience using CI/CD pipelines or version control (Git) for integration deployment.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
