Job description

MES Reporting Analyst

Location: Remote, Raleigh, NC

Duration: 12 Months

Seeking for a Reporting Analyst to lead the development of operational reporting for Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) projects. This role involves collaborating with business leads, project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with Medicaid and CMS criteria. The analyst will support project tasks to ensure they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with MMIS/CMS Certification expectations and Program Management guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Research federal, state, and CMS regulations.
  • Gather, clean, and transform data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Apply statistical methods to analyze data and identify patterns and trends.
  • Administer and maintain operational reporting databases.
  • Create visualizations to present data insights.
  • Draft MES outcome statements and metrics.
  • Identify and implement data-driven strategies to improve business processes.
  • Maintain Operational Report Workbook (ORW) schedules for MES.
  • Collaborate to create and update state-specific outcome statements.
  • Contribute to Advanced Planning Documents (APDs).
  • Attend and facilitate meetings to present findings.
  • Support project leads and SMEs with certification questions.
  • Participate in CMS certification presentations and reviews.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 5 years of MMIS/CMS certification experience.
  • 5 years of experience with CMS Medicaid Enterprise Systems or federal regulations.
  • 5 years of experience managing multiple priorities/projects.
  • Proficient with project collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Project Suite, MS Teams, Zoom).
  • 5 years of experience with spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Expert communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • 5 years of experience using data to improve organizations.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience.
  • 5 years of data visualization software experience.
  • 5 years of experience with project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Ability to create and deliver PowerPoint presentations and SOPs.
  • 5 years of experience in the state government sector with health and human services programs.
