This specific job listing is for associates to enter our industry-leading training and onboarding program, Built to Advocate. ™ The program is designed to fast-track lawyers into skilled workers' compensation defense advocates. Created for attorneys with little to no workers' compensation experience, this innovative program provides a structured pathway from foundational knowledge to professional confidence and long-term success as an associate of the premier California workers’ compensation defense firm; Wintersteen Casarez.

Through an immersive blend of live instruction, practical application, structured mentorship, and ongoing professional support, participants gain the skills and advocacy techniques necessary to thrive in a practice area that continues to experience significant demand for talented attorneys.

Wintersteen Casarez Law Corporation offers a robust training and mentorship program for new attorneys to guarantee their success as they embark on their legal journey, or transfer into a new practice area. This model allows attorneys to quickly begin practicing law under the guidance of senior attorneys who are dedicated to their education and growth. 

Attorneys manage the legal defense of workers' compensation cases from inception to final resolution, including all aspects of discovery and litigation. The attorneys work closely with insurance companies, employers, and third-party administrators. We are now seeking an Attorney with 0 – 2 years of workers' compensation defense experience.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees;
• Member of the State Bar of California
• Superior research, analytical, and negotiating ability;
• Excellent written and oral communication;
• Commitment to proactive case management;
• Experience in Merus and/or Litify is preferred but not required;
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams is preferred but not required.
