Job description

Type: Full-Time, Remote (LATAM)

Working Hours: Mondays - Fridays, Mountain Time (Arizona) business hours

Location: LATAM (Remote)

Compensation: USD $1,500 - $2,000/month

About the Company

Our client is a highly operational, specialized drywall and interior finishes contractor based in Arizona. Known for practical execution and a hardworking, grounded approach, the business operates with a lean and efficient field-first structure. To support their steady project pipeline, the ownership team is building out dedicated remote operations to streamline pre-construction and bidding workflows.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Estimator to join our team as a dedicated, full-time partner working directly within our client's existing systems and workflows. In this role, you will completely own the takeoff and estimating lifecycle—from initial plan review to fully prepared bid packages. This is a critical operational hire where your ability to accurately quantify materials and independently manage the bidding pipeline will directly free up ownership capacity and drive business growth. The ideal candidate goes beyond data entry, actively anticipating missing information and seamlessly driving vendor outreach and project coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from residential and commercial blueprints, ensuring highly accurate material estimates for drywall, painting, metal framing, acoustic ceilings, and occasional flooring.

  • Review project specifications, plans, and addendums thoroughly to identify discrepancies, anticipate missing information, and independently initiate and track RFIs and submittals.

  • Fully prepare comprehensive bid packages and proposals tailored to local US market pricing structures and client requirements.

  • Manage active bid coordination, maintaining an organized estimating pipeline to ensure no bidding opportunities or deadlines are missed.

  • Lead subcontractor and vendor outreach, independently soliciting quotes, compiling pricing, and clarifying scopes of work.

  • Collaborate closely with the business owner, acting as a reliable operational partner who handles the day-to-day estimating workflow with minimal prompting.

Project Types

  • Residential drywall and painting packages

  • Commercial metal framing (interior, office layouts, non-structural)

  • Commercial acoustic ceilings and interior finishes

  • Occasional commercial flooring packages

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical field.

  • 2–3+ years of proven estimating experience specifically performing material takeoffs and bid preparation for US-based construction projects.

  • Deep familiarity with US construction standards, blueprints, building codes, and specialized terminology (specifically regarding drywall, paint, and interior framing).

  • Strong project management mindset with a proven ability to independently manage the RFI process, coordinate with vendors, and drive the bidding process forward.

  • System adaptability and comfort integrating seamlessly into a remote environment using the client's internal software and estimating tools.

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), with a direct, clear communication style suited for a fast-paced, highly execution-oriented construction team.
