The Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Director, Governance Solutions - Business Development & Account Growth who will be responsible for driving profitable growth across ISG Governance offerings in Australia. This role will focus equally on new business development and account management, helping clients strengthen enterprise vendor management, third-party risk, contract lifecycle governance, and managed governance operations. 

 

The successful candidate will leverage ISG's Enterprise Governance capabilities, consulting teams, delivery leaders, and subject matter experts to shape client opportunities, expand relationships, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

 

Experience in driving account growth, expanding client relationships, and developing new business opportunities within a service provider environment is preferred.

 

Applicants will need to be Australian citizens to qualify for an Australian Commonwealth security clearance as there will be requirements to support public sector engagements 

 

The Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include: 

Business Development and Account Growth:

  • Identify, qualify, and progress new Enterprise Governance opportunities with prospective and existing clients across Australia. 
  • Drive account growth through renewal, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities across TPRM, procurement and vendor management services. 
  • Develop and maintain senior client relationships across Procurement, IT, Legal, Risk and Compliance, Finance, Vendor Governance, and Business Operations. 
  • Proposal and pursuit support  

Client Relationship Management and Delivery Collaboration:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring clear communication across the account lifecycle. 
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to support successful mobilization, client satisfaction, operational discipline, and measurable outcomes across Enterprise Governance engagements. 
  • Partner with delivery leaders to monitor engagement health, identify expansion opportunities, and ensure client commitments are understood and achieved. 
  • Engage in governance forums, executive meetings, and account planning sessions to provide insight, facilitate follow-up, and strengthen client alignment. 
  • Help clients navigate complex supplier, governance, risk, contractual, and operating model challenges.

The Role Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in the outsourcing and managed services industry, with a strong track record of driving growth, client success, and strategic initiatives.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of the outsourcing and managed services market, including key industry players, market dynamics, business challenges, and regulatory considerations, ideally within a service provider environment.
  • Sales & Business Development: Proven success in originating, shaping, and closing large, complex deals while managing senior client relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams across multiple organizational levels to achieve business objectives.
  • Consulting & Strategic Advisory: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to develop and deliver tailored solutions that address client needs.
  • Communication & Executive Presence: Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, and senior executives.

Location & Travel

  • Based in Australia, with travel across Australia expected up to 30% of the time.
