About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Software Verification and Validation (V&V) and Test Automation to lead software verification, validation, and test automation for a regulated cloud software platform.
This is a hands-on player-coach role for someone who can lead a testing team while actively contributing to test strategy, execution, automation, and release readiness. You will turn product requirements, risk controls, and release scope into practical V&V plans, improve test coverage, and ensure releases are supported by clear, traceable, audit-ready evidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead V&V (Verification and Validation) planning, test execution, and continuous improvement across the platform
  • Build risk-based test strategies across functional, regression, integration, API, UI, performance, security, reliability, and data integrity testing
  • Write, review, and run tests while guiding the team on day-to-day execution
  • Improve automated regression coverage using practical and maintainable automation
  • Own requirements-to-test traceability, defect triage, release readiness, and V&V reporting
  • Partner with engineering, product, security, regulatory, and compliance teams to identify risks early and support high-quality releases
  • Manage team priorities, remove blockers, and help build a scalable quality engineering function

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software testing, QA, quality engineering, SDET, test automation, or software V&V
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing a QA, testing, quality engineering, or SDET team
  • Strong hands-on experience testing web applications and APIs
  • Experience with test planning, regression testing, defect management, traceability, and release-readiness criteria
  • Experience improving automated regression coverage in a modern software delivery environment
  • Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into clear, executable test plans
  • Strong written communication skills and a high level of ownership
Nice to Have
  • Experience in SaaS, cloud, healthcare, medical device, or other regulated software environments
  • Experience with SaMD, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA QMSR, or design controls
  • Experience with cloud-native or multi-tenant platforms
  • Experience with .NET, Angular, Azure, Playwright, TUnit, or similar tools
  • Experience with CI/CD-based test automation, performance testing, or audit support
  • Experience building or scaling a QA function in a growing company
