About the Role
The Tax Manager will own the end-to-end management of the company’s tax function, ensuring full compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting across all jurisdictions. This hands-on role requires deep technical expertise in taxation and accounting, with a focus on risk identification, strategic tax planning, and process optimization. You will partner closely with finance, legal, and business teams to implement solutions that minimize risk, enhance efficiency, and drive the company’s overall tax strategy, often working extended hours to meet critical deadlines.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee end-to-end tax compliance, including statutory filings (US and Canada: T5, T4A, 1099K, W2, 940, 941), VAT registration, and international sales tax obligations.
  • Manage relationships with external tax service providers and coordinate all deliverables to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities, addressing inquiries and resolving issues impacting the organization.
  • Provide tax-related inputs for financial reporting, risk management, and strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor and guide the taxation team, building expertise and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct ad hoc tax analyses to support business initiatives, optimize tax strategy, and mitigate exposure.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field; ACCA or CA certification preferred.
  • 6–8 years of experience in taxation and accounting, including cross-border or multinational tax exposure.
  • Deep understanding of tax and accounting principles, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and independent working capabilities, with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to elevate performance and accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in Big 4 or international tax contexts preferred.
