Job description

About Gruve

Gruve is an innovative software services startup dedicated to transforming enterprises to AI powerhouses. We specialize in cybersecurity, customer experience, cloud infrastructure, and advanced technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs). Our mission is to assist our customers in their business strategies utilizing their data to make more intelligent decisions. As a well-funded early-stage startup, Gruve offers a dynamic environment with strong customer and partner networks.

Position Summary

We are building an enterprise-scale MCP server ecosystem to connect Claude AI and other LLMs to critical business systems. The MCP Architect will design, build, and govern this integration layer — owning the full lifecycle from schema design to production deployment and will extend coverage to additional business applications as organizational needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and own the MCP server ecosystem across Bio-Tech / Healthcare enterprise application portfolio
  • Build production-grade MCP servers in TypeScript and Python with OAuth 2.0, RBAC, and audit logging
  • Define tool schemas, versioning standards, and multi-agent orchestration patterns
  • Integrate MCP servers with SAP, Salesforce, D365, Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Graph API, and other business applications as per business need
  • Design the tool invocation and RBAC model for AI virtual employees and internal copilot personas
  • Align architecture with Bio-Tech / Healthcare AI Security Reference Architecture and EU AI Act compliance (Aug 2026)
  • Maintain an MCP server registry and contribute to internal Claude AI Launchpad enablement
  • Mentor AI & Automation Developers on MCP patterns and agentic integration best practices

Basic Qualifications

  • B.Tech, M.Tech, or PhD from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) — Mandatory, verification required at offer
  • 8+ years in software engineering with focus on API design, systems integration, or AI platform engineering
  • 3+ years hands-on building MCP servers or equivalent tool-calling frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI Function Calling)
  • Expert TypeScript and Python; strong REST/GraphQL API design and Node.js async patterns
  • Deep knowledge of MCP specification — tools, resources, prompts, sampling, and transport layers
  • Experience integrating LLMs (Claude, GPT-4) with enterprise systems in agentic or RAG architectures
  • Strong grasp of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, Azure AD, and enterprise SSO/SCIM patterns

Preferred Qualifications

  • Open-source contributions to MCP projects or the Model Context Protocol community
  • Experience with LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Anthropic agent SDKs
  • Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or vector databases (Pinecone, Azure AI Search)
  • Prior experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or regulated enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of EU AI Act, GDPR, or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks
