What You Will Do *The Plant Associate Lead(s) will support all manufacturing related activities within a production or depot-manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will report to a Value Stream Lead/Manager (VSL/VSM) and be accountable for the daily support and direction of up to 15+ touch labor employees within one shift. The Plant Associate Lead will be tasked to assist the Value Stream Lead/Manager to meet clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, and collaborate with functional support employees to allow for continuous manufacturing of line-flow or end-item products. Additionally, the Plant Associate Lead will support the quality of production, and depot products, while being delivered on time at or below cost targets.
This position involves support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. The candidate must be capable and willing to work extended hours (when required) in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in manufacturing leadership role.

Qualifications You Must Have *Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. GED in the US) or vocational or technical education in related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
Experience with manufacturing or assembly.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer Valid state driver’s license.
Analytical, interactive, and computer literacy skills.
All personnel must follow all safety rules and guidelines during performance of job duties.
Position requires High School diploma.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Windows 95 or newer, and database/test software.
Ability to understand and follow written instructions.
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
Customer focused individual, well organized and capable of multi-tasking and working independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment to accomplish common goals and provide status as needed.
Position may require standing or sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, stooping and must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Ensure employees follow all safety protocols, provide the required PPE, and report any safety concerns or issues.·
Before Tier 1 meeting start, work with Value Stream Leader (VSL)/Value Stream Manager (VSM) to update relevant SPQDC (safety, people, quality, delivery, cost) data on the TIER 1 board.·
In the absence of a VSL/VSM, lead tier 1 meetings and follow work cell standup meeting template.·
Collaborate with supply chain personnel to ensure all work orders are filled and all shortages are filled where appropriate, throughout the workday.·
With VSL/VSM, coordinate daily work assignments and communicate daily work requirements.·
Ensure assigned employees are following all planning, processes, and policy requirements. Report any anomalies to VSL/VSM.·
Communicate effectively and professionally via email, via teams’ chat or site radio.·
Work and communicate effectively with all functional support teams (leadership, training, supply chain, engineering (ME, QE, PTE). Report any concerns or issues to VSL/VSM.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
