Job description

About Rockefeller Capital Management:

Rockefeller Capital Management was established in 2018 as a leading independent financial advisory services firm. Originally founded in 1882 as the family office of John D. Rockefeller, the Firm has evolved to offer strategic advice to ultra- and high-net-worth individuals and families, institutions, and corporations from offices in 33 markets throughout the United States, as well as an office in London. The Firm oversees $221 billion in client assets as of May 31, 2026.

Position:

Rockefeller Capital Management is seeking a high-performing individual to join the Advisor Performance & Compensation (AP&C) team. This role is intentionally structured with a dual mandate:

  • 50% focused on Advisor Performance & Compensation, supporting core compensation processes, advisor economics, and performance analytics; and
  • 50% focused on Strategy and Execution of Firm-Wide Initiatives, partnering across the business and COO organization, practice management, and technology to help drive and execute strategic priorities.

The role is designed for a strategic, analytically driven professional who can operate effectively both in the details of compensation and at a higher altitude—helping translate firm strategy into execution through data, automation, and cross-functional collaboration. The individual will play a meaningful role in evolving how advisor and business data is leveraged

Responsibilities:

Advisor Performance & Compensation (≈50%)

  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential advisor compensation information.

Strategy & Firm Initiative Execution (≈50%)

  • Partner closely with the COO leadership team, practice management, and technology stakeholders to support the strategy and execution of firm-wide initiatives impacting advisor performance, compensation, and operating efficiency.
  • Contribute to the continued modernization of AP&C processes and analytics through automation, business intelligence tools, and emerging technologies (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, AI-enabled workflows).
  • Help translate strategic objectives into actionable analyses, tools, and deliverables that improve scalability, transparency, and decision-making.
  • Provide analytical and execution support for cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment between business objectives and delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Prior internship experience in corporate finance, accounting, or a related analytical role.
  • 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or analytical roles.
Skills:
  • Excel proficiency required, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, scenario analysis, and large-dataset management; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience or strong interest in leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and BI tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, AI-enabled workflows).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines in a compensation-sensitive environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and shifting priorities.
  • Proven discretion and judgment when working with confidential information.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable operating across both strategy and execution.
