As a DME Collections Spec III, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Analyzing
  • Reconciling initial Accounts Receivable and Order Entry exceptions
  • Discrepancies to ensure accurate invoicing
  • Prompt payment within Solventum’s business practice and time-sensitive guidelines.
     

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Advanced English C1
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in a medical healthcare setting.
  • Performed medical insurance collections and managed accounts receivable (A/R) for healthcare claims, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
  • Initiated and followed up on short-payment appeals and medical appeals to resolve underpaid and denied claims.
  • Analyzed and interpreted Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) to identify discrepancies, denial reasons, and payment variances.
  • Conducted outbound payor calls to insurance companies to resolve claim issues, verify coverage, and negotiate appropriate reimbursement.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Investigated and resolved complex A/R discrepancies by applying strong analytical and basic accounting skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, including payment posting review, balance reconciliation, and revenue tracking.
  • Maintained strict confidentiality of patient and financial information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provided excellent customer service through professional telephone communication and effective issue resolution.
  • Utilized strong problem-solving and negotiation skills to secure claim resolution and maximize reimbursement.
  • Leveraged Microsoft Excel and Word to track appeals, document claim activity, and generate reports.
  • Exercised sound business judgment when escalating issues and prioritizing high-value accounts.
