Position Summary

The Clinical Supervisor serves as a clinical leader with the organization, providing supervision, mentorship and support to non-licensed clinicians while maintaining a reduced caseload. This role is responsible for ensuring quality clinical care, documentation excellence, compliance with regulatory standards, and ongoing staff development. The Clinical Supervisor acts as a resource for clinical consultation, onboarding, training, and case review while helping ensure documentation supports quality patient care and reimbursement requirements.

Clinical Leadership

  • Provide clinical supervision to associate and non-licensed clinicians.
  • Review and approve documentation in accordance with state and organizational requirements.
  • Provide case consultation and support for complex clinical situations.
  • Assist with onboarding and development of new clinicians.

Clinical Services

  • Maintain an active caseload.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy services.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.

Quality & Compliance

  • Support documentation quality and clinical excellence.
  • Conduct routine chart reviews and provide feedback.
  • Partner with operations and revenue cycle teams to address documentation deficiencies.
  • Ensure documentation supports medical necessity and payer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
  • Experience in outpatient behavioral health settings
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards and CPT coding
  • Familiarity with supervisory or incident-to billing practices preferred
  • High attention to detail and commitment to compliance and quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage a small workload
