Job description

*This position will be for ~160 day rotations in Australia*

The Senior Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting secure logistics and operational movement activities. This position coordinates the secure transport and accountability of classified and sensitive materials, maintains chain of custody documentation, supports dispatch and routing activities, and ensures compliance with applicable security and transportation procedures. The Sr. Logistics Specialist operates in dynamic environments requiring strong organizational skills, operational awareness, and the ability to coordinate across multiple functional and security stakeholders. The Sr. Logistics Specialist will serve as the Team Lead responsible for supervising the Logistics Specialist teams.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  

  • The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the Secret level.

  • Experience handling classified, sensitive, or controlled materials preferred.

  • Expert level knowledge of chain of custody procedures, secure handling requirements, and operational reporting practices.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities in fast paced operational environments.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and operational tracking systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior military, deployed operations, or contingency logistics experience.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense logistics or operational programs.
  • Familiarity with NAVSUP Mail Tracking System and other logistics and reporting systems.
  • Experience operating in austere or high operational tempo environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Coordinate and execute the secure transport and delivery of classified, sensitive, and mission critical materials between operational sites and Government facilities.
  • Maintain strict chain of custody procedures and accountability documentation in accordance with Government security requirements and established standard operating procedures.
  • Perform secure material handling activities, including receipt, inspection, packaging, inventory verification, transfer, and safeguarding of classified and controlled materials.
  • Coordinate movement schedules, routing plans, dispatch activities, and delivery priorities to support operational requirements and mission timelines.
  • Interface with Government personnel, security representatives, operations centers, transportation personnel, and site leadership regarding movement coordination and delivery status.
  • Monitor and track movement activities to ensure timely delivery, operational visibility, and compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain operational reports, transportation logs, accountability records, incident documentation, and status updates for Government review.
  • Support operational planning activities by identifying transportation constraints, routing considerations, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable security procedures related to classified material handling, physical security, operational security, and transportation activities.
  • Assist with inventory management, asset tracking, and Government Furnished Property accountability as required.
  • Respond to changing mission requirements and support surge or contingency operations as directed.
  • Maintain professional conduct and operational discipline in high tempo and sensitive mission environments.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, supply operations, secure courier operations, military logistics, or related operational support environments.

Regularly exposed to general office and general office machinery noise. May be exposed to warehouse, truck or forklift noise.

The estimated pay range for this role is $75,000 to $105,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
