This role goes beyond traditional website development, combining WordPress expertise, front-end development, performance optimization, analytics implementation, and scalable systems thinking.

Your Role

As a Web Developer, you will own the development, maintenance, and optimization of websites and landing pages across a portfolio of education-focused partners.

You'll work closely with SEO, Creative, Paid Media, and Analytics teams to deliver fast, accessible, conversion-focused web experiences while creating reusable systems and processes that improve efficiency and consistency across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, Gutenberg blocks, and reusable templates.

  • Develop landing pages and website experiences that support SEO and Paid Media initiatives.

  • Optimize website performance, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals.

  • Implement analytics, conversion tracking, and measurement solutions.

  • Conduct QA testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing website maintenance.

  • Support A/B testing and CRO initiatives.

  • Create scalable systems, workflows, and documentation to improve development efficiency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, SEO, Paid Media, and Analytics teams.

You Bring

  • 4+ years of advanced WordPress development experience.

  • Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Experience building custom themes, plugins, and reusable components.

  • Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, website performance optimization, and accessibility standards.

  • Experience with analytics and conversion tracking implementation.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

  • Experience working in agency or fast-paced digital environments.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Next.js, Astro, Gatsby, Nuxt, or similar frameworks.

  • CRO and A/B testing experience.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT.

  • Experience mentoring developers.

  • Background in higher education or nonprofit marketing.

What's Offered

  • Fully remote work environment.

  • Competitive compensation based on experience.

  • Opportunity to work with mission-driven organizations.

  • High level of ownership and autonomy.

  • Collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Strong opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.

Interview Process

  • Introductory Call: Background, technical experience, and role overview.
