Your role in our team
As our new Software Engineer, you will work in a team consisting of experienced engineers and early-carrier colleagues with strong domain knowledge and a culture of mutual support, shared responsibility, and pride in the work. We approach our systems with professionalism and responsibility, while recognizing that thoughtful judgement, transparent dialogue, and a healthy sense of humor are essential to building resilient teams and robust software.
You will become part of our Radar & Security department in Lystrup. Together with 90 highly engaged colleagues, we are responsible for our security solutions, which provide situational awareness for surveillance, perimeter safety, and coastal security. Within the Radar & Security Software organization in Lystrup, we work in stable, interdisciplinary, and self-managed product/project teams based on agile principles from Scrum.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based software modules.
- Ensure product excellence through rigorous testing, comprehensive documentation, and adherence to industry standards.
- Build reliable, scalable software solutions that support operational requirements.
- Collaborate closely with system engineers and team testers to foster continuous improvement and mutual challenge.
- Translate customer requirements, system constraints, and bug-fixing tasks into clean, maintainable code.
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

- The role is open to full-stack and back-end developers who have a Bachelor or Master degree in software engineering, computer science, data science or a related field, and a proven solid track record as a software engineer
- Experience with design of software solutions through all the steps of requirements, architectural design, implementation, and
- Practiced code reviews and knowledge sharing with fellow engineers, in a mindset of Continuous Integration / Delivery
