*This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.

THE PRODUCTION TEAM
The Production Team is responsible for overseeing Cupertino Electric’s Field workforce, ensuring that all projects are executed with the high standards of safety, productivity, scheduling, quality and cost control. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a qualified Regional Commissioning Manager to become part of a collaborative team, in our Data Center Group. You will have the challenge of working on multiple Hyperscale Data Center projects throughout North America. This position is within the program management department but is considered a technical position. Applicants with experience in and understanding of the electrical contracting industry are preferred.
This individual will work closely CEI Project Team(s), Engineers of Record and 3rd party subcontractors to ensure the project commission documentation is completed and transmitted in an effective and efficient manner.
The role of a Regional Commissioning Manager (RCM) is to support the projects assigned to. This supporting role is an extension of the Division Commissioning Manager (DCM) and reports direct to that divisional lead. Working as a RCM, you will be responsible for ensuring there is a Project Specific Commissioning Plan (PSCxP) in place for the project and that the PSCxP is in compliance with project specific contract documents and corporate Commissioning Management System (CMS) as well as overseeing the execution of the PSQP from Policy, Procedural and individual Processes as outlined in the PSCxP
Onsite Commissioning Managers (OCM) will be placed on each project within the Data Center Division and will report directly to the RCM. The RCM will be responsible for training and developing the OQM in CEI’s Commissioning program, Commissioning Culture, integrated software utilizations as well as performing audits for individual project performance.
- Ensure execution of the CEI Commissioning Program within assigned regional projects.
- Collaborate with onsite PM CX Team Leads, Site Superintendents, and OCMS to review, update, and develop documentation and document control structures as needed.
- Ensure that Project-Specific Commissioning Plans (PSCxP) are being executed onsite with Production, QAQC and Cx teams in accordance with the plan and are following project specifications and contractual requirements.
- Ensure that the PSCxP is understood, and executed in real-time during construction phases, not as an afterthought post- construction completion.
- Work closely with CEI Data Center Division Commissioning Manager (DCM) to implement and improve all Commissioning workflow processes.
- Contribute to Divisional Commissioning “Best Practices” derived from personal experience, project-specific “Lessons Learned” as well as input from Production and PM teams on assigned projects.
- Work closely with the Project Management & Production Dept. at a regional level to develop methods to categorize, perform cost/savings estimates, and track re-work with the objective of preventing future re-work.
- Collaborate directly with the client/owner on all assigned projects and serve as the subject matter expert to facilitate updates and changes needed to individual projects or client portfolios.
- Ensure the proper execution of CEI-approved vendor and subcontractor Commissioning programs.
- The RCM shall be responsible for subcontractors CX documents and ensuring they comply with contract docs and CEI CMS and meet Commissioning standards.
- Support needs with the PM lead, Site Superintendents and OCMS for technical oversight of major equipment designs and factory acceptance tests as requested.
- Work with PM lead, Site Superintendents and OCMS to Optimize photo-documentation processes/procedures ensure photo-documentation meets Commissioning Program and Contractual requirements.
- Ensure that the PM lead, Site Superintendents and OCMS are receiving OFCI and CFCI equipment on-site, and that the product meets intended specifications and arrives in the expected condition.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment that align with project specifications as well as manufactures recommendations.
- Work with PM lead, Site Superintendents and OCMS to pre-populate Cx documents with site-specific criteria or data for energizations.
- Develop and manage onsite Production Commissioning teams with focus on:
- Commissioning Culture
- Crew Structure
- Energization Processes and Procedures
- Onsite equipment tracking to ensure that the execution of work onsite is consistent within the Data Center Division projects.
- Implement ACC on projects to transition from paper to electronic platform for all inspections and issue tracking.
- Train and develop all parties working within ACC in the use and execution of the program.
- Ensure checklists are being performed and tracked in ACC.
- Ensure the mandatory Issue Tracking module in ACC is being utilized and managed properly on all assigned projects.
- Track Production CX teams progress and work to establish labor units and costs associated with Commissioning scopes.
- Ensure onsite Commissioning Foreman supports the closeout process from a field CX Perspective
- Ensure onsite Commissioning Manager reviews, redlines, and as-builts reflect actual install in the field throughout the project inspections.
- Ensure there is a proper tracking log to maintain records for calibration of tools that meets or exceeds contract requirements and CEIs expectations.
- Lead regular cadence bi-weekly Commissioning Meetings of report out Commissioning Leadership on Commissioning Health Score and project updates to include any corrective actions required.
- Attend additional meetings as required (including but not limited to):
- Project Kick off Meetings.
- Weekly site 5x5 Meetings
- Client / Owner Commissioning Meetings
- Lessons Learned Meetings
- Corrective Action Meetings
- Oversee Root Cause Analysis
- Ensure that CEIs Commissioning activities are incorporated into the project milestone schedules and that energizations are being schedule in enough time to allow OCM teams to perform inspections.
- Work with site production team to incorporate inspection scheduling items into master P6 schedule template and ensure items are captured in the project schedule.
- Work with OCM to maintain internal 3 week look ahead of upcoming work to be inspected and ensure communication of weekly progress updates to the onsite CX PM lead and Site Superintendent.
- Work with the OCM to establish a method to track internal inspections, as well as third party / owner coordination for inspections to take place on projects.
- Review, manage and implement Inspection Testing and Commissioning Plans (ITCP) for Commissioning milestones and activities driven by specifications and contract language.
- Work with onsite Production and Project management teams to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for deficiencies exceeding the identified threshold through the corporate CMS plan.
- Work with onsite Project Management team and associated vendors to review Commissioning plans and identify, track, and manage resolution/issuance of Non-Conformance reports for deficient items.
- Proactively manage people and resources within the assigned region to support Production and Project Management on Commissioning goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or industry experience.
Work Environment:
- Maximum 50% Home Office and Minimum 50% Remote Construction Office environment
- May be required to sit/stand at desk/computer, and/or drive/walk the project site for extended time
- Traveling to vendors which may be loud and/or dirty, is possible
- May be required to sit/stand at desk/computer, and/or drive/walkl the project site for extended time
- Required to work on job site in all kinds of weather
- Hard Hat, Gloves, Safety Glasses and appropriate foot ware (supplier or job site-Safety toe)
Experience:
- 10 years of project engineering, field management or project management in the electrical Data Center industry
- Position will also be dealing with tracker, civil, etc.)
- 5 years’ experience with Commissioning and Commissioning best practices.
- Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices as it relates to renewable Data Center.
- Excellent oral and written skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to analyze data to proactively identify trends.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, solution oriented.
