Position: Consultant – Business Report Quality & Strategic Insights Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $175/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 1 month initially, with potential extension
Commitment: 40 hours during the first week, then 15 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

Define standards for high-quality business reports and executive communications.
Establish best practices for argument structure, evidence hierarchy, and storytelling.
Develop evaluation rubrics to distinguish exceptional, average, and poor-quality outputs.
Analyze business questions generated by AI systems and synthesize information into actionable recommendations.
Produce decision-ready reports comparable to strategy consulting deliverables for executive leadership.
Review AI-generated research and reporting workflows for consistency, accuracy, and executive readiness.

Qualifications

Must-Have

3+ years at McKinsey, Bain, BCG, LEK, Oliver Wyman, Strategy&, Kearney, EY-Parthenon, Roland Berger, or a comparable strategy consulting firm.
Experience producing executive-facing presentations and reports.
Strong analytical problem-solving and structured thinking skills.
Experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research into recommendations.
Excellent written communication skills.
Availability to commit 40 hours during the first week and approximately 15 hours per week thereafter.

Preferred

Experience in CPG, healthcare/pharma, financial services, retail, or consumer sectors.
Experience presenting recommendations directly to senior executives.
Experience evaluating analytical work products or mentoring junior consultants.
