The Aseptic Filling General Manager is responsible for leading Cytiva Aseptic Filling business into the future. This role is akin to a CEO responsible for all functions comprising of 100+ amazing colleagues including directly: Operations, Manufacturing, Supply chain, Service, Engineering, R&D and DBS and closely cooperating with Commercial, Finance, HR and QARA.
This position reports to the VP, Manufacturing & Digital Solutions and is part of the Hardware Solutions OpCo located in Burnaby, Vancouver. The role is intended to be on-site or remote however frequent travelling to the site will be expected.
What you will do:
- Business leadership & P&L ownership: Provide full executive ownership of the business unit’s P&L, ensuring disciplined management of orders, revenue, margin, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Governance and compliance: Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance by ensuring adherence to company policies, quality systems, and global regulatory requirements.
- Strategy: Define and own the long-term vision, strategy, and competitive positioning of Cytiva’s filling business. Leverage deep understanding of technology, customer needs, market shifts, and competitive dynamics to identify and prioritize growth opportunities, sharpen product messaging, and steer annual business improvement initiatives.
- Product & Innovation Roadmap: Translate strategic priorities into actionable innovation and sustainment initiatives. Define, launch, and guide projects that achieve schedule, cost, and revenue commitments while equipping the commercial organization with compelling value propositions, sales tools, and competitive positioning.
- Commercial Excellence: Strengthen Cytiva’s position as a trusted strategic partner by cultivating senior level customer relationships and providing proactive insights on trends, risks, and innovation pathways. Continuously optimize the go-to market model through region specific strategies, robust pipeline and daily management processes, and deeper adoption of value based selling and strategic account expansion.
- Service Growth & Customer Experience: Accelerate service revenue across service plans, qualification services, regulatory support, and consumables. Deliver best in class customer uptime, seamless qualification to GMP readiness, and high satisfaction throughout the installed base.
- External Engagement & Market Influence: Represent Cytiva with global customers, KOLs, partners, and regulatory bodies to shape market direction, influence standards of care, and position the business as a thought leader.
- Talent development & leadership culture: Build, develop, and mentor a high‑performing team. Foster a culture grounded in accountability, innovation, DBS practices, and disciplined execution.
Who you are:
- 10–20+ years in sterile drug product or biologics manufacturing
- Leadership role in CDMOs offering aseptic filling services or Pharma DP operations
- Deep understanding of aseptic processing, isolator technologies, sterility assurance, Annex 1, and GMP manufacturing
- Proven P&L responsibility and organizational leadership
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and has competitive intensity
- Strategic storyteller with the ability to inspire customers, associates and internal stakeholders
- Builder mentality — able to scale businesses and attract top talent
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record Requirements:
- This role requires periodic international travel depending on business needs, and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain any required documentation(e.g., passport, visas) and comply with applicable travel regulations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Small batch and high-value modality needs (gene therapy, viral vectors, mRNA, ADCs),
- Expertise in qualification/validation, regulatory filings, and customer audit expectations

The salary range for this role is $179,000 - $$268,667 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
