Job Summary:
Pharmacy Service Excellence Issue Management Specialist is responsible to oversee the daily flow of
Pharmacy related issues and/or intakes.
Essential Functions:
- Works closely with the Pharmacy Business Liaison and Quality Specialist to maintain status updates of the weekly Operations and Prioritization logs
- Works with the Issues Management tracking system
- Informs Pharmacy Leadership of pressing issues and escalates accordingly
- Ability to train staff on the use of issues tracking software and supply updates to training documentation as necessary.
- Coordinate departmental deliverable calendars to help ensure that the team is aware of impeding Regulatory, Accreditation, and/or Project deadlines
- Helps with facilitating of data and requirements gathering for projects, Accreditation and Regulatory Audits as needed
- Create, track, and facilitate the submission of Marketing Communication Request Forms (CRFs) and other pharmacy-related communications
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent years relevant work experience is required
- Three (3) years retail, hospital or other pharmacy experience is required
- One (1) year managed care, PBM or other relevant experience is required
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- Computer proficient with knowledge in a “Windows” environment
- Beginners level Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Professional level e-mail and communication skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medication names
- Excellent listening and thinking skills
- Good decision making, problem solving and trouble shooting skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Familiarity of the healthcare field
- Good time management skills
- Customer service orientated
Licensure and Certification:
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is preferred
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Position requires the ability to work a standard business day shift, with some flexibility as needed
Compensation Range:
$54,500.00 - $87,300.00
