About the Team / Role

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Compliance, the Regulatory Compliance Analyst 4 will assist with the coordination and integration of Corporate Compliance activities to meet all relevant requirements, ensuring compliance and alignment with business ethics related regulations and best practices. The successful candidate who assumes this role will coordinate, track and report on key Compliance Program activities as outlined in the U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines for business organizations, and help coordinate day-to-day activities of the Corporate Compliance team, including ethical culture promotion, providing guidance and education on WEX’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, conflict of interest management, ethics and compliance hotline management, and internal investigations coordination and oversight.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Corporate Compliance Program

  • Develop and implement, or monitor and report on processes related to managing essential elements of WEX’s Corporate Compliance Program, including: risk assessment and monitoring, policies and procedures, training and communications, confidential reporting structure and investigation processes, third-party management, leadership commitment to our compliance culture, compliance incentive structures and consequence management, continuous improvement monitoring, periodic testing and review, and measuring and reporting on program effectiveness.

  • Participate in setting Corporate Compliance team strategy, including planning for and prioritizing goals and activities.

  • Promote an ethical culture by coordinating a variety of activities with functional partners designed to ensure that our Integrity Value commitment is explicit, repeated, varied, engaging, and to improve culture transparency.

  • Advise, coach, and educate employees at all levels on a wide range of ethics and business conduct questions and issues, including complex and highly confidential and/or sensitive matters.

  • Develop, implement and monitor processes, roles and responsibilities, and communication protocols for evaluating and managing actual or potential conflicts of interest.

  • Maintain and promote the use of WEX’s global confidential Integrity HelpLine and other related channels, through which employees and others may report or seek guidance regarding actual or suspected violations of WEX’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, other company policies, or the law.

  • Lead or participate in the evaluation or investigation of Integrity HelpLine and other sensitive misconduct reports.

  • Maintain and promote standard processes through which Corporate Compliance and related functions review, evaluate, investigate, respond to, and report on, actual or suspected violations of WEX’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, other company policies, or the law. 

  • Develop, implement and monitor processes, roles and responsibilities for testing and auditing the efficacy of certain program policies, procedures and controls.

  • Develop, implement and monitor processes, roles and responsibilities for measuring and reporting on effectiveness of certain program elements.

  • Maintain and build new Corporate Compliance processes, policies, and procedures and risk management programs, with an eye toward building digital-first, scalable solutions.

  • Review and update Corporate Compliance and related Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) assessments to ensure they reflect the organization’s highest compliance-related risks.

  • Maintain current knowledge of, and communicate new and changing regulations and best practices related to, Corporate Compliance program activities to internal teams to allow for the incorporation of any changes into processes and procedures.

  • Work closely with other centrally and locally managed Legal, HR, Risk, Communications, and other functions.

Experience You’ll Bring

  • Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience in Compliance, Legal, a regulatory agency, or a related position, focusing on compliance program management and internal misconduct investigations.

  • Strong leadership skills, including demonstrated strength in building compliance frameworks, working within established compliance programs, project management, experience working on process improvement, and ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities.

  • Expert knowledge level in regulations, best practices and processes related to corporate ethics and compliance programs and internal misconduct investigations.

  • Experience with internal investigations of actual or suspected misconduct and related processes.

  • Experience with creating educational and other awareness building communications and materials related to compliance with employee codes of conduct and other company policies as well as laws and regulations.

  • Ability to resolve issues and conflicts, and negotiate and facilitate project groups with experience driving groups to successful completion.

  • Ability to work independently, yet still be team-oriented.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write clear, concise communications for employees at all levels.

  • Ability to apply strong problem solving skills and excellent judgment to make reasoned recommendations and develop practical, business-oriented solutions.

  • Ability to build strong internal relationships that foster open communications and to act as a resource on ethics and compliance issues.

  • Ability to write reports, business presentations, policies, procedures, and operating guidelines. 

  • High ethical standards.

  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to maintain a high level of technical expertise and keep abreast of key compliance and company developments.

Other Requirements

Must complete a successful background investigation.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Pay Range: $113,100.00 - $133,700.00
