As we begin our second year, and with exciting plans in the pipeline, we’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketing Lead to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies for our community stop smoking service across Hampshire.

This role is crucial in raising awareness of our service, driving engagement, and ultimately, supporting more individuals to quit smoking. The Marketing Lead will be responsible for creating and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, managing digital presence, building relationships with key stakeholders, and analysing campaign effectiveness to optimise performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a passion for public health, and a proven track record in delivering successful marketing initiatives.

Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied, and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role, and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.

A typical day as an Marketing Lead might include :

  • Collaborating with the Head of Service and Engagement & Partnerships Lead to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy, aligned with the service’s objectives and target audience, to help ensure we achieve our annual targets.

  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and challenges.

  • Managing the annual marketing budget, ensuring it is allocated efficiently and proportionately across activity and resources.

  • Developing and maintaining a marketing calendar to coordinate campaigns and activities.

  • Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing recommendations for improvement.

  • Developing positive working relationships with commissioners and key stakeholders, ensuring feedback, priorities and service requirements are effectively translated into marketing activity and deliverables, whilst maintaining clear communication around priorities, timelines and deliverables.

  • Collaborating with Thrive Tribe’s Head of Brand and Marketing to manage and optimise the Smokefree Hampshire website and social media channels, to increase engagement and reach.

  • Developing and creating engaging content, including website copy, social media posts, blog articles, videos and infographics.

  • Implementing and managing email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and promote our service offerings.

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to utilise SEO strategies and improve online visibility, driving traffic to our website.

  • Monitoring and analysing website and social media analytics to track performance and identify areas of improvement.

  • Ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials and channels.

  • Managing the production of marketing assets, including leaflets, posters and digital resources.

  • Coordinate the production and distribution of marketing resources and campaign materials across the service, ensuring partners, stakeholders and subcontractors have access to consistent high-quality and up-to-date assets.

  • Working closely with the Engagement & Partnerships Lead and Subcontractor Lead to ensure all marketing, engagement and communications activities remain aligned to agreed service branding, messaging and quality standards, delivering a consistent and positive experience for all partners and stakeholders.

  • Leading the briefing and management of external agencies, designers and suppliers, ensuring marketing outputs are delivered to a high standard, on brand, on time and in line with campaign objectives.

  • Write and distribute press releases and other media outputs, ensuring appropriate review and approval processes are followed where required.

  • Tracking and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

  • Generating regular reports on marketing performance and providing insights to the Head of Service and other stakeholders as required.

  • Utilising data to inform marketing strategies and to enable campaign optimisation.

  • Working closely with the delivery team to ensure alignment between marketing and service delivery.

  • Collaborating with other departments and external agency partners as required.

  • Staying up to date with the latest marketing trends and best practices

  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive team environment

  • Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
