Job description

We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT environments, with a strong focus on networking, routing, virtualization, and cloud technologies.


Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex IT infrastructure and networking issues.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot:
    • Firewalls
    • Managed switches
    • Routers
    • Wireless networking equipment
    • Support and administer VMware virtual environments and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
    • Monitor network performance, security, and system availability.
    • Assist with server administration, backups, disaster recovery, and system upgrades.
    • Support and troubleshoot IP and cloud-based phone systems.
    • Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
    • Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and systems.
    • Participate in project planning, deployments, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • 5+ years of IT support or systems/network administration experience.
    • Strong real-world experience with:
      • Networking and routing
      • Firewalls and network security
      • Managed switches
      • VMware virtualization
      • Microsoft Azure
      • Experience supporting IP/Cloud phone systems.
      • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
      • Knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
      • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
      • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
      • Industry certifications such as:
        • CompTIA Network+
        • Cisco CCNA
        • VMware VCP
        • Microsoft Azure certifications
        • Experience in K-12, higher education, or government environments is a plus.
