Position: Japanese Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and optimize audio and video content in Japanese, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Produce high-quality written outputs in Japanese, with English support when required.
  • Develop detailed evaluation rubrics and grading guidelines in Japanese and English.
  • Conduct model testing and grading, providing structured feedback to improve performance.
  • Participate in QA and review cycles to maintain consistency and reliability.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Strong writing, editing, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Native or near-native fluency in Japanese and professional fluency in English.
  • Familiarity with spoken Japanese, regional dialects, and honorific systems.
  • Ability to transcribe and analyze Japanese audio content accurately.

Preferred

  • College students or recent graduates.
  • Background in linguistics, humanities, social sciences, journalism, or technical disciplines.
  • Experience with transcription, annotation, localization, or research workflows in Japanese.
  • Interest in AI, language models, or applied research environments.
