Job description

Are you an Apprentice Carpenter looking for steady work on a large scale project? We are currently seeking experienced Apprentice Carpenters to join our team on the Teck Greenfield Project. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-profile industrial construction project with a company known for its strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Working along side Journeyperson Carpenters

  • Constructing traditional and engineered forming systems

  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location

  • Spotting heavy equipment

  • Building access platforms

  • Assist concrete masons with pouring concrete and other duties

  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality

  • Perform general support duties including site cleanup, material handling, and basic construction tasks

  • Adhere to all project and Ledcor policies, procedures, and PPE requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience with traditional and engineered concrete forming systems preferred

  • Previous Industrial experience an asset

  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

  • Apprentice Carpenters must be registered with a provincial authority

  • Comfortable working at heights

  • Must bring basic Carpentry tools and tool belt

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Strong work ethic, good communication and ability to follow instructions

Work Conditions:

  • Work schedule 14 on, 7 off, 10 hours per day

  • Living out allowance provided

  • Work in all weather conditions

  • Weekly payment of wages

  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC

  • Locals to Merrit and Kamloops will be given priority

Compensation

$30.84 - $51.40 per hour

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
