Job description

Bestax Accountants, a Toronto-based accounting firm, is looking for an experienced Canada Tax Accountant to join our team in Lahore. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in Canadian tax laws, compliance, and accounting standards.

As a Canada Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, advising clients on tax planning, ensuring compliance with Canadian tax regulations, and handling financial reporting. You will work closely with our Toronto team, supporting clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns as per Canadian tax regulations.
  • Assist in GST/HST returns, payroll tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Perform tax planning and advisory to optimize tax liabilities for businesses and individuals.
  • Stay updated with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations and tax law changes.
  • Conduct financial statement analysis to ensure accurate tax calculations.
  • Handle tax audits, notices, and communications with CRA on behalf of clients.
  • Work with QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, and other tax preparation software.
  • Provide bookkeeping and financial reporting support for Canadian clients.
  • Collaborate with the Toronto-based accounting team to meet client expectations.


Requirements



  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Canadian taxation & accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations, and compliance
  • Experience with T1, T2, GST/HST, and payroll tax filings
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, TaxCycle, or similar software
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal)
  • Strong team management and leadership skills with experience overseeing accountants, reviewing work, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
Preferred:
  • CPA Canada/CPA (Pak) or any equivalent certification is a plus
  • Experience working with Canadian clients or firms
