We are looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to join our fast-paced digital agency, someone who combines deep SEO expertise with AI-driven search strategy, automation thinking, and a strong understanding of how search is evolving beyond traditional SERPs.
This role is ideal for someone who understands not only Google rankings, but also visibility across AI-powered search ecosystems including Google AI Overviews (AIO), ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other LLM-driven discovery platforms.
You'll manage and grow the organic performance of multiple client accounts across diverse industries, driving measurable business impact through technical SEO, semantic optimization, automation workflows, and AI-assisted execution.
This is a remote position and requires strong communication, self-management, and proficiency in remote collaboration tools.
Key Responsibilities
1. SEO Strategy & Account Management
- Develop and execute end-to-end SEO strategies for multiple client accounts.
- Conduct SEO audits, define KPIs, and deliver measurable growth in traffic, visibility, and conversions.
- Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates, AI Overviews (AIO), GEO trends, and AI-driven ranking systems.
- Translate technical and analytical findings into actionable client recommendations.
- Research, prepare, and present SEO growth plans, performance reports, and strategic opportunities.
- Support visibility growth across traditional SERPs and AI-powered search environments.
2. Keyword, Intent, Entity & Market Research
- Conduct advanced keyword, entity, and topical authority research using AI-powered SEO tools.
- Identify semantic clusters, search intent opportunities, and conversational search trends.
- Map keywords and entities across the user journey to support SEO and GEO strategies.
- Discover zero-click, featured snippet, and AI-generated search opportunities.
- Benchmark competitor SEO, content, and SERP strategies to identify growth gaps.
- Build content clusters designed for semantic relevance and AI retrieval systems.
3. AI Search, GEO & LLM Optimization
- Optimize websites and content for Google AI Overviews (AIO), ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and emerging AI search platforms.
- Support GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies focused on entity authority and semantic relevance.
- Structure content for AI retrieval, summarization, and answer-engine discoverability.
- Implement AI-first SEO practices including conversational search optimization and topical entity mapping.
- Monitor changes in AI-generated search results and identify new visibility opportunities.
4. On-Page & Content Optimization
- Prepare SEO-first content briefs and collaborate closely with content writers.
- Use AI and NLP tools (ChatGPT, SurferSEO, Frase, Jasper, Gemini) to improve content relevance and depth.
- Ensure content aligns with EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) principles.
- Optimize metadata, schema markup, heading structures, internal links, and semantic relevance.
- Improve content for featured snippets, People Also Ask, AI summaries, and rich search results.
5. Technical SEO & Automation
- Perform advanced technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, and enterprise crawling tools.
- Resolve crawlability, indexation, canonicalization, Core Web Vitals, and performance issues.
- Work with developers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented correctly.
- Implement structured data and scalable technical SEO frameworks.
- Build and support SEO automation workflows using Python, APIs, AI tools, or no-code platforms.
- Support large-scale websites, multi-domain structures, and international SEO implementations.
6. Off-Page SEO, Digital PR & Authority Building
- Develop ethical and scalable link-building and authority-building campaigns.
- Support AI-assisted outreach and personalization workflows.
- Monitor backlink quality, toxic links, and domain authority metrics.
- Collaborate on digital PR and brand visibility initiatives.
7. Analytics, Reporting & Performance Insights
- Measure SEO performance using GA4, GSC, Looker Studio, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other analytics platforms.
- Build insightful dashboards aligned with business KPIs and organic growth objectives.
- Track visibility across traditional SERPs and AI-generated search experiences.
- Use AI and automation to improve reporting efficiency and performance analysis.
- Identify optimization opportunities using trends, anomalies, and competitive insights.
Requirements
Tools & Platforms Core SEO Tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GTM
AI & Automation Tools: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, SurferSEO, Frase, Jasper, ContentKing, Sitebulb, AirOps, NotebookLM
- 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably within a digital agency environment.
- Proven experience driving measurable SEO growth across multiple projects or industries.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, content SEO, and semantic optimization.
- Experience with AI Overviews (AIO), GEO, and AI-assisted search optimization.
- Understanding of how LLMs retrieve, summarize, and surface content.
- Experience using AI tools and automation workflows within SEO operations.
- Familiarity with automation platforms for SEO workflows is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking and performance-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, reporting, presentation, and client-management skills.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, IT, or a related field.
