We are seeking an experienced Lead Product Strategist with significant Provider Data and organizational expertise– to lead strategic initiatives that advance CAQH’s organizational objectives across the Provider Data solution suite. CAQH’s market leading Provider Data offerings currently provide a comprehensive Provider Data Portal solution and are well positioned for expansion into adjacent markets. This role supports multiple initiatives, including portfolio ideation, solution design and high-level architecture, advisory group engagement through proof-of-concept development, business case creation, cross functional alignment, and performance and growth strategy. This role will primarily focus on provider engagement, and provider market expansion. Applicants will lead provider focused cross functional engagements, interact with leading provider organizations and develop strategies to improve the capabilities of our products for the provider community.

The Lead Product Strategist is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Senior Director, Product Strategy and Management – Provider Data.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead provider focused product strategy for new and existing Provider Data solutions, partnering cross‑functionally to identify, evaluate, and define opportunities aligned with CAQH’s organizational objectives and market strategy.
  • Drive market analysis and problem discovery, overseeing solution ideation and the development of data‑driven business cases, including return‑on‑investment and growth potential assessments.
  • Define user personas, workflows, and end‑to‑end solution journeys to inform strategic direction and solution design.
  • Validate strategic concepts through engagement with advisory groups and structured proof‑of‑concept initiatives to inform investment and roadmap decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and industry stakeholders to inform product strategy and ensure market relevance.
  • Own the strategic and concept planning phases of the product lifecycle, ensuring clear direction and effective handoff to Product Management and development teams for execution.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a strategic product roadmap, balancing internal priorities, client feedback, and organizational goals in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
  • Lead strategy for product commercialization, growth, maturity, and retirement, using performance insights to guide ongoing investment decisions.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter evangelist for Provider Data solutions, articulating strategic value internally and externally to drive alignment, adoption, and industry engagement.
  • Partner with Marketing and internal stakeholders to support go‑to‑market strategy development and coordinated execution across the organization.

Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex market, business, and data insights into clear product strategy and investment recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead market analysis, customer discovery, and competitive intelligence to identify unmet needs, size opportunities, and inform portfolio‑level decisions.
  • Exceptional provider focused expertise and domain knowledge specific to how providers organizations operate, manage data and complete necessary functions such as credentialing.
  • Expertise in developing compelling business cases, including financial modeling, ROI analysis, and growth potential assessment, to support prioritization and funding decisions.
  • Ability to define user personas, workflows, and end‑toend solution concepts that connect customer needs to business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Demonstrated capability to influence and align cross‑functional stakeholders—including Product Management, Technology, Operations, Marketing, and external partners—without direct authority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy, tradeoffs, and recommendations to executive, business, and technical audiences.
