Job description

Location: Remote (Latin America)

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

About Us:

AgilityIO is a software development firm that designs and builds custom applications for startups and Fortune 500 companies. We are a global team of over 400 developers, QA engineers, project managers, and UX/UI designers with offices in New York City and Vietnam.

We’re looking for a Solutions Architect to lead the design and migration of a next-generation, security-hardened infrastructure. This is a hands-on role that blends deep architectural thinking with direct implementation — ideal for someone who can walk into a complex existing system, chart a clear path forward, and see it through to production.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current system architecture (Supabase, Elastio, Composio) and lead the design of a target-state architecture suited for secure, distributed workloads

  • Architect and implement a migration plan from the existing stack to the new target infrastructure — minimizing risk and downtime throughout the transition

  • Design a hosting and distribution model for an artifact-based execution environment (similar to fly.io) with live VM/container orchestration supporting intermittent, on-demand workloads

  • Establish secure, structured data ingestion from multiple third-party integrations, ensuring data is received, stored, and governed with appropriate access controls

  • Lead SOC 2 hardening efforts across the infrastructure: audit logging, access control, encryption at rest and in transit, secrets management, and compliance readiness

  • Define and implement strategies for managing loosely-coupled, intermittently-active services with tracked distribution and lifecycle management

  • Collaborate with engineering leads, CTOs, and stakeholders to align architecture decisions with product goals and delivery timelines

  • Produce clear architectural documentation, diagrams, and decision records (ADRs) to support handoff and long-term maintainability

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Platform Engineer with a strong track record of system migrations and re-architecture projects

  • Deep familiarity with Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions) and modern cloud-native infrastructure patterns

  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration and ephemeral compute environments (fly.io, Kubernetes, Nomad, or similar)

  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and data protection tooling (Elastio or equivalent)

  • Strong understanding of SOC 2 Type II requirements and practical experience implementing security controls across infrastructure

  • Experience designing and securing multi-source data integration pipelines (Composio or similar iPaaS/integration frameworks)

  • Solid grasp of networking, secrets management, IAM, and zero-trust security principles

  • Comfortable operating across infrastructure, backend, and DevOps layers — this is an implementation role, not just advisory

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building or operating artifact/plugin distribution systems with hosted execution environments

  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and workloads that involve intermittently-active containers or VMs

  • Prior engagement with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA in a hands-on engineering capacity

  • Strong communication and documentation skills — able to present trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Self-directed with high autonomy; comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-moving product environments

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses

  • Flexible remote work environment

  • Professional growth opportunities and mentorship

  • Engaging and collaborative team culture with cutting-edge projects
