The University of Wisconsin–Platteville is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer to join the Platteville Analytics & Institutional Reporting (PAIRS) department. In this role, the successful candidate will assist in the design, build, testing, deployment, and production support of core data warehouse and analytics solutions, including source-to-target mapping, data profiling and quality assessments, data modeling, and development lifecycle activities under close supervision.
The position offers a flexible remote work arrangement. Candidates who would be able to attend limited in-person meetings, professional development, or team collaboration activities periodically would be preferred. This full-time position is benefit- and paid leave-eligible and offers an annual salary of $70,000.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as data science/data analytics, math, computer science, information technology; OR
Associate or bachelor's degree in any field with 3–5 years relevant professional experience with data transformation and data architecture, data warehousing, data analytics, ETL processes, SQL development, or related technical work; OR
High school diploma/GED plus 5 or more years of directly related professional experience in data transformation and data architecture, data warehousing, data analytics, ETL processes, SQL development, or related technical work.
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new methods and software packages.
Aptitude for pattern recognition and recreation.
Good communication of technical issues.
Demonstrated ability to understand the connection between data and business processes.
Experience with SQL or similar query languages.
