Location: Remote (New Jersey-based coverage)

Practice Psychiatry Remotely Within a Large Academic-Affiliated Behavioral Health System

Center for Family Guidance, PC is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide tele-psychiatry services within a large, well-established academic-affiliated behavioral health system with an excellent reputation.

Schedule & Coverage

Coverage is available seven days per week with flexibility to structure shifts based on provider availability.

Available coverage options include:

  • Full shift: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Evening coverage
  • Overnight coverage
  • Full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities

Start Date: Late Summer / Early Fall

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and consultations via telehealth
  • Support Emergency Department behavioral health assessments and treatment recommendations
  • Provide inpatient psychiatric coverage and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and interdisciplinary treatment teams
  • Assist with clinical decision-making, treatment planning, and disposition recommendations
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Participate in quality patient care initiatives and best-practice standards
  • Collaborates with administrative leadership to address and resolve clinical and operational matters, ensuring efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Active New Jersey license or ability to obtain
  • CDS and DEA required
  • Experience in emergency psychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, consult psychiatry, or crisis services preferred
  • Comfortable practicing independently within a telehealth environment
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
