Job description

Position Overview

We are working with an award winning growing media agency who are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join their growing team on a 3 to 4 day week basis.

This is a digital led video and AV planning role, with responsibility for shaping and delivering integrated campaigns across digital video, programmatic, BVOD, AVOD, CTV, social video, and linear TV. The right person will see digital and AV as one connected ecosystem and bring a data led, audience first lens to planning.

Working pattern: 3 to 4 days per week. Mostly remote working with flexibility on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated video and AV strategies with a digital first lens, spanning programmatic video, BVOD, AVOD, CTV, YouTube, social video, and linear TV.
  • Lead the planning and optimisation of digital video campaigns across YouTube, Meta, TikTok, and other social video platforms.
  • Plan and execute programmatic video activity across DSPs and ad tech partners.
  • Build BVOD, AVOD, and CTV strategies across streaming and broadcaster platforms.
  • Integrate linear TV thoughtfully where it adds value within a broader video plan.
  • Use audience data, behavioural signals, and first party data to drive smarter targeting.
  • Analyse cross platform performance and translate it into clear, actionable insight for clients.
  • Apply modern measurement and attribution frameworks to evaluate campaign impact.
  • Negotiate with publishers, broadcasters, and platforms to secure strong rates and placements.
  • Collaborate closely with strategy, creative, performance, and client services teams.
  • Manage campaign budgets and ensure delivery against KPIs and pacing targets.
  • Stay close to emerging platforms, formats, and ad tech developments.


Required Experience

  • 6+ years in video, AV, or digital media planning within a media agency or equivalent environment.
  • Strong track record planning digital video, including YouTube, social video, and programmatic video.
  • Proven experience across BVOD, AVOD, and CTV environments.
  • Confident planning and integrating linear and addressable TV as part of a wider video strategy.
  • Working knowledge of programmatic platforms (such as DV360, The Trade Desk, or equivalent).
  • Comfortable interpreting performance data from digital, social, and AV environments.
  • Familiarity with planning tools such as Arianna, Telmar, or Nielsen

  • Confident with digital measurement, attribution, and audience targeting.
  • Solid negotiation skills with platforms, publishers, and broadcasters.
  • Advanced Excel and confident with reporting tools.
  • Sharp attention to detail and an organised approach to managing multiple campaigns.
  • Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable in client conversations.
  • Able to juggle multiple campaigns and hit deadlines without losing the plot.
  • Genuine team player with a collaborative mindset.
