Description:

The Goizueta Business School is seeking a Program Director to support the ongoing delivery and continuous improvement of the Master in Management (MiM) Program. This role manages the day‑to‑day execution and student experience of the Master in Management (MiM) program, with primary responsibility for student support, program operations, and co‑curricular engagement. The position reports to the Sr. Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and works in close partnership with the Program Faculty Director, who provides academic leadership for the program. The selected candidate will be high-energy, enthusiastic, student-centric, and detail oriented. The person will display proven ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and activities, to work collaboratively and proactively, and to steward initiatives to successful completion in an autonomous setting.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs the strategic planning, development and implementation of a large and complex program or of several smaller programs.
  • Plans, administers and monitors program budgets.
  • Develops short and long term goals and objectives.
  • Oversees related special projects.
  • May represent the program in various national and international settings.
  • May manage the solicitation of funding from foundation, corporate, individual and governmental donors.
  • Collaborates with and seeks the support of representatives from other organizations.
  • Establishes and administers policies and procedures.
  • Supervises staff.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

PRIMARY/ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implements and augments program strategy in alignment with Sr. Associate Dean and Faculty Director’s academic leadership.
  • Manage program execution, extra-curricular and co-curricular programming, and student experiences.
  • Provide student academic advising for elective selection and degree
  • Administer and track policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for the program, in collaboration with the Faculty Director.
  • Maintain the Course Catalog and program Canvas
  • Surveys students and provides input on key industry and project interests to Faculty Director
  • Advise and support MiM student organizations and student leadership initiatives.
  • Works with Director of MiM Career Management to assure alignment and to help meet students’ goals.
  • Plan, administer, and monitor the program budget, financial policies, and expenses with support of BBA Director of Operations
  • Plan and execute MiM orientation, signature student events each semester, and program‑specific graduation activities.
  • Collaboration and Coordination with internal and external stakeholders including Goizueta’s other Graduate and Specialized Masters Program Directors,
  • Support admissions outreach, organize campaigns at target schools, and spearhead outreach to Emory College students.
  • Work closely with admitted students to assure matriculation.
  • Work with marketing team and admissions office to periodically update and revitalize all outreach and marketing materials.
  • Work with Registrar’s office to develop class schedule, oversee continuation and Dean’s list dissemination, and facilitate degree clearance
  • Serve as Honor/Conduct Code compliance liaison.
  • Serve as liaison to Office of Accessibility Services to ensure student learning accommodation needs are met.
  • Work with University offices of student financial services, health services, parking, housing, etc. as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to program work and seven years of related experience which includes two years at a management level, OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required, master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of program management or related experience in an educational institution at a university level working with students of similar background to Emory students is highly preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
