Job description

About the Role

We’re looking for a Client Strategy Lead to play a pivotal role in owning client relationships, driving integrated strategy across disciplines (creative, media, CRO), and championing business growth for our clients - and for Pearmill.

You’ll be the connective tissue between our internal teams and our clients - ensuring we’re not only meeting expectations, but identifying new opportunities, surfacing risks early, and creating long-term impact.

This role is not channel- or craft-specific. You won’t be expected to write copy or optimize bids - but you will be expected to understand the dynamics of each and bring the pieces together into a single, compelling strategy.

This role reports into our CEO (for now), but is expected to grow into a leadership path within our client services org as we scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the client relationship end-to-end, building trust and delivering strategic value across creative, media, and CRO.

  • Lead the strategic vision across all disciplines for your accounts - ensuring we’re driving measurable outcomes, not just completing tasks.

  • Synthesize input from craft teams (e.g. Paid Social, Creative, Search, CRO) into a cohesive client-facing strategy.

  • Facilitate QBRs and strategic check-ins with clients - bringing thought-starters, insights, and cross-functional POVs to the table.

  • Identify risks and opportunities early - whether it’s signs of churn or whitespace for upsell - and work with internal partners to act on them.

  • Drive internal alignment across media, creative, and CRO so that the whole team is rowing in the same direction.

  • Be a retention engine. You are the heartbeat of the account - ensuring we’re meeting goals, exceeding expectations, and expanding the relationship over time.

  • Lead or co-lead new client pitches translating agency capabilities into tailored proposals that win new business.

  • Maintain awareness of industry dynamics and emerging trends, providing forward-thinking insights to both clients and internal teams.

About You

  • You have 7+ years of experience in performance marketing, strategy, client services, or integrated account management.

  • You’re a business systems thinker who can zoom out and connect the dots - across data, creative, and human dynamics.

  • You've demonstrated success in growing client relationships and expanding scope beyond initial engagements.

  • You're a confident, consultative communicator who can be respectfully confrontational when needed to drive better outcomes.

  • You’re proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented - you don’t just flag problems, you propose next steps.

  • You have experience managing integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels (paid search, paid social, etc.).

  • You can translate ambiguity into action - bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to a situation.

What You’ll Find Here

  • Competitive salary with bonus structure tied to client satisfaction, retention, and growth

  • 99% coverage for health, dental, and vision

  • Distributed, remote, and global culture

  • Unlimited vacation with 3-weeks required vacation

  • Unlimited mental health or physical health leave

  • Remote work budget to make it easier to work from wherever you feel most productive!

  • Monthly physical activity budget to get your body moving

  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave

  • Stipend for laptop and other home office equipment

  • Annual indoor plant budget

  • Annual company-wide retreat

  • Yearly stipend for books, seminars, courses, and coaches

  • Matching for charitable donations

  • Clear career progression path toward senior client leadership roles
