Job description

The Role

Outcapped is hiring a Recruiter, Talent & Hiring Operations to run full-cycle searches for our mission-driven clients.

This role is ideal for someone who has owned end-to-end recruiting and is comfortable working directly with hiring managers. You’ll recruit across a range of roles, build pipelines in niche talent markets, and ensure searches run smoothly from start to finish.

We work closely with founders and small teams to help them hire thoughtfully and move quickly. That means building structured processes, improving decision-making, and doing the hands-on recruiting work to bring exceptional people into their organizations. Our clients operate in areas like AI safety, biosecurity, and global development, where talent is scarce and hiring quality matters.

About Outcapped

Outcapped is an operations agency that frees mission-driven founders from back-office grind. To enable this we are building a platform that will contain our library of 150+ vetted SOPs and an AI-powered workflow builder to standardize and automate finance, HR, legal, and IT tasks, saving teams up to 20 hours every week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting

    • Own searches from kickoff through offer and onboarding

    • Manage the end-to-end hiring process across multiple roles and clients

    • Run structured screening calls and guide candidates through the process

  • Client & Hiring Manager Partnership

    • Work directly with clients and hiring managers to understand their needs and role requirements

    • Advise on hiring approach, candidate profiles, and what “good” looks like for each search

    • Communicate clearly and consistently throughout the process, ensuring alignment and momentum

  • Sourcing and pipeline building

    • Build candidate pipelines using a variety of channels beyond LinkedIn

    • Engage passive candidates with thoughtful, tailored outreach

    • Continuously iterate on sourcing strategies based on role needs

  • Process execution and candidate experience

    • Run structured hiring processes using repeatable workflows, templates, and best practices

    • Manage candidate communication, scheduling, and coordination with speed and attention to detail

    • Ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience across all touchpoints

  • ATS and systems

    • Set up and manage pipelines in Ashby (our primary ATS), including stages, workflows, and templates

    • Maintain clean, structured data and ensure processes are followed consistently

    • Identify opportunities to improve how hiring is run through better systems and tooling

  • Internal Process Improvement

    • Contribute to improving Outcapped’s recruiting workflows, templates, and playbooks

    • Identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and scalable

  • Additional Operations Support

    • From time to time, support broader People Operations or operational projects for clients, depending on needs and interest

About You

Must‑haves

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with ownership of end-to-end searches

  • Experience scaling organizations and operating in ambiguity

  • Comfortable working directly with hiring managers and helping shape hiring decisions through clear, informed recommendations

  • Strong sourcing experience in building pipelines beyond LinkedIn

  • You actively look for ways to use tools, including AI, to eliminate manual work and improve how hiring gets done

  • Experience in using Ashby (or an equivalent ATS)

  • Clear, professional communication and strong follow-through

Nice‑to‑haves

  • Background in operations or talent operations

  • Experience hiring in the AI safety, biosecurity, and global development space

Compensation Structure

We offer both salaried and contractor arrangements depending on location and preference.

Salary range (US-based): $60,000–$75,000
Contractor range: $30–45/hour

Compensation is determined based on experience, demonstrated ability to independently run searches, and sourcing strength. Candidates with stronger full-cycle ownership and sourcing experience will be considered toward the top of the range.

For contractor arrangements, time off is unpaid and contractors manage their own schedules and tax obligations.

Time Commitment & Benefits

  • Time commitment: This is a full-time position.

  • Employment type setup: We are open to employment through an EOR, direct (Germany and U.S.), or a contractor relationship.

  • Benefits that fit: Full-time team members receive a customized benefits bundle (e.g., health cover, paid leave, learning budget). Contractors set their own mix, and we adjust rates accordingly.

  • Remote-first freedom: Work from anywhere, but you must have 3 hours of overlap with CEST working hours (9 AM – 6 PM) and availability of 3-4 hours with Pacific time (California, USA).

    A 20-minute call to discuss your background, our needs, and mutual fit.

  3. Work Test

    A 90-minute practical assignment where you’ll tackle a real operations challenge similar to what you’d handle in this role. This shows us how you think and execute, and gives you a real sense of the work.

  4. Final Interview Loop

    We’ll go deep on your work test and other core competencies. We’ll also talk through compensation, timing, and anything else that matters

  5. Work Trial

    We give you a paid work contract for 1 month to see what it’s like to work at Outcapped. You’ll do real work and be a part of the team. This allows us to make sure this is a fit for you and for us.

  6. Offer & Onboarding

    If we’re aligned, we’ll extend an offer for a permanent role out Outcapped!
