Senior Consultant, Network Audit

Position Overview
The Senior Consultant, Network Audit is responsible for leading audit engagements, analyzing client billing and contract data, identifying cost savings opportunities, and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements, tariffs, and internal controls. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage complex audit processes, resolve disputes, and deliver actionable recommendations that improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
 
The Senior Consultant, Network Audit will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to review invoices, contracts, and billing data. This individual will support audit planning, conduct detailed research, identify control gaps, prepare findings, and help clients implement remediation plans that drive measurable savings and improved compliance.
 
Responsibilities
  • Review telecom invoices, vendor contracts, tariffs, and inventory data to verify billing accuracy and contract compliance
  • Identify billing discrepancies, overcharges, savings opportunities, and process gaps through detailed audit analysis
  • Manage vendor disputes from initiation through resolution, including tracking escalations, refund approvals, and pending issues
  • Partner with clients to develop remediation plans aligned to audit findings and recommended corrective actions
  • Prepare monthly audit reports, presentations, and client-facing updates summarizing findings, savings, disputes, and recommendations
  • Conduct client and vendor meetings to review audit progress, address open issues, and support resolution of complex billing matters
  • Use automated tools, databases, vendor portals, and manual review techniques to audit billing and service data
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support account management, client service delivery, and ongoing audit operations
Required Skillsets
  • Experience in audit, telecom expense management, contract compliance, billing analysis, managed services, or account consulting
  • Strong ability to review and interpret vendor contracts, tariffs, invoices, service records, facility orders, network design orders, and circuit layout orders
  • Demonstrated experience managing billing disputes, vendor escalations, client communications, and audit reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience identifying cost savings, control gaps, compliance risks, and process improvement opportunities
  • Ability to communicate complex audit findings clearly to clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency with vendor portals, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, issues, audits, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience supporting Fortune 500 clients preferred
  • Background in telecommunications billing, managed services, carrier invoices, or telecom vendor portals preferred
  • Proven ability to identify multimillion-dollar cost savings and recoveries through audit findings and dispute resolution preferred
  • Experience working with international audit teams or distributed operational teams preferred
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required
