Oracle Fusion Applications Manager (Remote)
Direct-Hire Role

The Oracle Fusion Applications Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, support, enhancement, and delivery of enterprise business applications that enable efficient and effective business operations. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure applications align with organizational objectives, drive measurable business outcomes, and support operational excellence.

The successful candidate will provide leadership across application support, development, integration, and service delivery functions while serving as a key advisor on enterprise application architecture, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will drive best practices, optimize application performance, and ensure solutions remain scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term technology strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through applications, services, and technology solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technology liaison for assigned business functions and application portfolios.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop support and development team members through coaching, performance management, hiring, and career development activities.
  • Oversee production support activities and daily operations for enterprise applications and related systems.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and service requests while driving root cause analysis and long-term resolution strategies.
  • Implement and maintain IT service management processes and operational best practices.
  • Direct application support teams in delivering high-quality services that support critical business operations.
  • Foster a customer-focused service culture across internal teams and external service providers.
  • Establish and govern application support services, including service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and operational reporting.
  • Maintain application documentation, support procedures, and lifecycle management plans to ensure system reliability and availability.
  • Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, and business teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards.
  • Define and enforce application release management and code promotion processes to ensure quality, stability, and compliance.
  • Partner with cross-functional technology teams to deliver business initiatives and strategic objectives.
  • Provide oversight for application and integration architecture within assigned business domains.
  • Ensure appropriate disaster recovery, backup, retention, and archival strategies are in place for supported systems.
  • Evaluate application effectiveness, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend improvements to maximize business value.
  • Develop reporting, operational metrics, and continuous improvement programs that enhance service quality and performance.
  • Partner with project management and business teams to successfully deliver enhancements, upgrades, and implementation initiatives.
  • Lead small to medium-sized technology projects as needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting, delivering, or managing enterprise applications.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms within complex organizational environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Fusion HCM, including one or more areas such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor, Talent Management, or related modules.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive operational excellence across internal teams and third-party partners.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities in enterprise production support environments.
  • Deep understanding of incident, problem, change, release, and service management processes.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to business and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization capabilities in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience supporting application enhancements, upgrades, and implementation projects.
  • Understanding of project planning, budgeting, and delivery oversight.
  • Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, automation opportunities, and process improvements to drive business value.
